Dreams of a Non-Sycophant

Once in a while I ask myself why I don't blog as much anymore. The recurring answer is that I don't have time, but the truth is probably that I don't make the time. After all, if I have time to sit through reruns of Heroes twice a week, I have time to blog more. Let me tell you about what is going through my mind at the moment.

First, there is the whole health hazard situation in Oslo right now, which I think might have affected me somehow. The thing is, this morning they found parasites in the drinking water of Oslo (or most of it, seeing as mine is affected and Julie's is not), and all of a sudden drinking water, brushing one's teeth, showering, and washing our hands has become a complex and dangerous task involving boiling all the water for 3 minutes before using it and so on. So that's annoying, added to hearing all the hypochondriacs having a field day with it. No, you are not dying, and no, you are not dissolving on the inside because microscopic worms are eating your intestines. Goodness. It'll all be okay soon, I'm sure, seeing as I am naive enough to trust the authorities and their resident experts.

Moreover, I'm a little alarmed that I'm up until 5:30am on a school night (morning). But that aside, I have been dreaming about what I'll do when I get my motherload of money this month. After paying off the looooooong line of people and institutions who by now want my head on a platter (and probably their cards back), I think I would love to get myself a video camera. I have grown incredibly interested in making little movies, not just home movies but scripted ones, and a video camera would be the ideal starting point. And then, since I'm a sucker for new technology, I want a Playstation 3. I think.

Okay, I don't feel so good now. That whole parasite thing has me worried the nausea I'm feeling is going to stick around for a while. Darn it. I am supposed to get up for both school and work in less than 4 hours, and getting sick really doesn't fit into that. Oh, well. Going to bed now. If you happen to know my phone number, feel free to give me a call and wish me a speedy recovery, although hopefully, that won't be necessary.
